01 / THE STORY

Starting point, challenge and the road to launch.

Gazelle Crossover is a tour operator in Hurghada on Egypt's Red Sea coast. The team runs private 4x4 desert safaris, buggy and quad tours, snorkelling trips, day trips to Luxor and Cairo and private celebrations in the desert.

The challenge

Guests come from many countries and mostly book from their phones. The website had to present tours clearly, take requests cleanly and be maintained by the team itself.

  • Tours, prices and copy had to be editable without a developer.
  • Prices must match everywhere, including group sizes outside the price table.
  • Forms attract spam, yet the inbox had to stay clean.

Structure & design

A home page with clear sections: tours, private celebrations, benefits, reviews, FAQ and blog, carried by the brand's orange and large desert imagery.

Booking & pricing

Every tour opens a window with an availability request. The server calculates the price from a single source, outside the price table guests get a personal quote.

Custom CMS

A CMS for tours, pages, blog, FAQ, navigation, media and the home page sections. Changes are saved as drafts and go live with one click.

SEO, languages & hosting

Sitemap, robots.txt, redirects and hreflang for four languages, analytics with self hosted Matomo and hosting with Docker on a dedicated server in Frankfurt.

Launch and onwards

After go-live we keep supporting the system: measuring, improving and shipping new ideas.

03 — AUTOMATION

Requests without spam

Booking requests run through a dedicated API. Spam is detected and flagged instead of sent, and each address receives at most three emails a day.

  • Honeypot, timing check and bot detection
  • Price always from the server, never from the browser
  • Personal quote outside the price table
